Dear Editor:

It is truly a pleasure to sponsor Erie County’s largest Family Health Fair each and every year, and I would like to publicly recognize our community partners for making this year’s event another great success!

Thank you to Kaleida Health, Amherst Senior Center and all of its volunteers and staff, and all of the participating health organizations!

Approximately 225 glucose and cholesterol screenings were conducted; 90 foot screenings; 86 hearing checks; 85 skin cancer screenings; 82 prostate cancer screenings; 76 bone density heel scans; 44 balance and fall risk assessments; 36 flu shots; and 21 Prevnar vaccinations.

Working together, we have improved the health and wellness of so many residents in our community!
