Senator Helming Announces Support for Community Heroes Protection Act

Our community is so fortunate to have many dedicated men and women serving and protecting us every day. Earlier, I joined my colleagues in the Senate Majority Conference to announce the Community Heroes Protection Act, which will designate offenses against law enforcement officers, firefighters or emergency medical personnel as a hate crime. It is only right that we provide our first responders with proper protections for the service and sacrifice they provide every day.
