OLCOTT, N.Y. -- For waterlogged marinas and clubs along the Lake Ontario shore, revenue isn’t flowing in, which also means money to pay bills just isn’t there.
Some of the tax bills are $30,000. Leg. Syracuse says someone needs to pay up and it should not be business owners, and state Sen. Rob Ortt agrees. The Senate passed his $55 million Great Lakes Flood Recovery Grant Program on Monday, with $20 million going towards homeowners and businesses affected.
