Changes in school budget voting

It was just last year in Albany that school board members decided to move the election date from November to May to coincide with school budget voting. This change had to go through the state legislature, but it wasn't such a smooth transition. Voters will be handed two ballots - the Board of Elections is running the school board race and the school district handles the budget vote. Please click the "Spectrum News" link to watch the video.
