Stung by scandals, NY lawmakers address issue of sexual harassment

Much has changed at the statehouse in recent months. The former leader of the Senate Independent Democratic Conference, Jeff Klein, himself accused of forcing an unwanted kiss on one of the women who has joined the group pressing for the hearing, was defeated in his primary election by new Sen. Alessandra Biaggi, D-the Bronx, an ally of the #MeToo movement. Klein, who denied the accusation, has since found work as a lobbyist.
