Furloughed federal workers get 90-day extension on property taxes

A new state law signed earlier this week will give federal workers who were furloughed during the government shutdown a 90-day extension to pay their property taxes.
State Sen. Jim Gaughran co-sponsored the bill that's offering some relief to those federal workers.
"We're just hopeful that it is something that gives them a tool so as they're trying to juggle which bill to pay, they don't have to worry about paying their property taxes," Gaughran says.
