New York Senate Taking Steps it Says will Make the State a Better Place for Families [WENY]
The Senate is taking steps it says will make New York a better place for families.
A series of bills were passed yesterday to promote flexible working arrangements, meet childcare needs in under-served communities, and protect children from an array of safety hazards.
The legislation will also support children's mental health and physical well-being.
Childcare Expenses: This bill, S.2680, sponsored by Senator Shelley Mayer will allow candidates for state and local office within New York State to use campaign funds for any childcare expenses incurred as a direct result of their candidacy.
