Senator Carlucci Thanks Uber Eats for Serving First Responders

(Spring Valley, NY) - Senator David Carlucci (D-Rockland/Westchester) thanked Uber Eats today for providing 150 meals to Rockland's Spring Hill EMS.

Senator David Carlucci said, "Spring Hill EMS is made up entirely of volunteer first responders. These brave men and women are putting their health on the line to save others during the COVID-19 pandemic. Its nice when we can give back to our frontline heroes and make their day go a little easier. I am pleased to announce and thank Uber Eats for offering 150 meals through their app to our selfless heroes."

"On behalf of all of the Spring Hill EMS volunteers, we want to thank Uber Eats and Senator Carlucci for this support. Our volunteers have been working tirelessly on the front lines to prioritize the health of our community," said Chief Neil Dahan of Spring Hill Volunteer Ambulance Corp. "Thanks to the generous donation of Uber, our team has one less thing to worry about, and can be properly fueled during long shifts."

Uber Eats donated the free meal credits as part of their commitment to deliver 300,000 meals to first responders and health care workers in the U.S. and Canada.

Public Affairs Manager for Uber in New York, Hayley Prim, said, "We know that the work of medical and crisis response teams can be tireless, and we hope that this donation can help Rockland and the Spring Valley community in a small way."

The effort by Uber Eats also helps to support local restaurants and delivery people, which Senator Carlucci said is needed more than ever, as many are struggling financially during this health crisis.
