Skoufis Announces $380,800 for Boys and Girls Club of Newburgh

Senator James Skoufis announced that as part of the Empire State After-School Program, the Boys and Girls Club of Newburgh will receive $380,800 in state funding to support its after school programming.

Skoufis said “The Boys and Girls Club’s work is so important to young people in this city and it’s imperative that the state continues to invest in Newburgh. When kids have a safe and empowering environment to develop cognitive and social skills, it sets them up for greater success, which is why I’ll never stop fighting to support the very programs that do just that.”

The Boys and Girls Club of Newburgh serves Newburgh’s community offering arts, academics, and athletic programs for those between ages 5 – 19.
