State Sen. James Skoufis announced that a package of bills influenced by his committee’s examination of code enforcement practices in the cities of Newburgh, Mount Vernon, Albany and Town of Ramapo has passed the senate.
The six-month investigation was conducted last year by the Senate Investigations and Government Operations Committee.
The package includes 10 pieces of legislation. All the bills except one, S.3320, need to be voted on in the Assembly before they can be sent to Gov. Andrew Cuomo for final approval.
