Sen. Kaplan honors trailblazing women at Hispanic Chamber of Commerce event
On July 27, state Sen. Anna M. Kaplan joined the Long Island Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for the 16th Annual Latina Hat Luncheon at the Crescent Beach Club in Bayville.
Each year, the chamber honors women at the luncheon who are exceptional business leaders, community advocates, and inspirational role models. The event celebrates women in the workforce and recognizes their contributions to the Hispanic and minority communities they serve.
Kaplan said “as the chair of the New York State Senate Small Business Committee, I’m proud to work with organizations like the Long Island Hispanic Chamber of Commerce that do so much to give back to our community and help our small businesses to grow and thrive. At a time when the needs of our small business community continue to mount due to the impact of the pandemic, the work of the LIHCC is more important than ever. This year’s luncheon honored so many trailblazing women deserving of our gratitude and admiration, and I was thrilled to recognize and congratulate them for their achievements.”
