The truth about NYU, a public school and a neighborhood supermarket

It seems that NYU has mistaken accountability for pandering. The university recently claimed that downtown elected officials who have advocated for a school on an NYU-owned site since 2012 are doing so out of political motivation and not a genuine interest in students. NYU is deflecting responsibility due to their own mistaken assumption that the city would never act on constructing a school at the corner of Bleecker St. and LaGuardia Place.
