STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The local St. Patrick’s Parade will take place along Forest Avenue March 5, but the 2023 event will be without another tradition seen in years past.
Organizers of a longstanding political breakfast at Jody’s Club Forest announced Wednesday that they would discontinue the tradition in solidarity with the LGBTQ+ groups excluded by the parade’s organizers.
