
Canvas Institute’s annual Youth Empowerment Gala set for Nov. 13: How to get tickets

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The Canvas Institute of Arts, Culture, and Civic Engagement is spreading the word about its 2024 Annual Youth Empowerment Gala, a “transformative” event dedicated to supporting youth programs and honoring leaders in the community of Staten Island.
Honored for their service to Staten Island and beyond are: State Senator Jessica Scarcella-Spanton; Assemblyman Mike Reilly; Michele Ramos, principal of PS 16; Robert DeFalco, of Robert DeFalco Realty; Nancy Hagans, president of the New York State Nurses Association; Larry Ambrosino, In Memorium, community leader and principal of PS 57; the Staten Island Regional & Community Affairs Team, Con Edison: Joshua Rivera, director; Amanda Straniere, manager; Robert Olivari, specialist, and Adam Levine, specialist, NYC Regional & Community Affairs.
