STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — It’s good news: After five long years, the Staten Island Community Service Friendship Clubs hosted their 50th Friendship Day Golden Jubilee in Nicotra’s Ballroom at the Hilton Garden Inn, where hundreds gathered to make merry and reminisce over much cherished memories.

Caponetto and her Associate Wendy Stucchio, accepted awards on behalf of the five Older Adult Centers that included: A Proclamation from the Office of the Mayor declaring Sept. 27, 2024 as Staten Island Community Services Friendship Club’s Day, a Certificate of Recognition from Senator Jessica Scarcella-Spanton, a New York State Senate Proclamation from Senator Andrew Lanza, a New York City Council Proclamation presented by Councilman David Carr and Frank Rapacciuolo who represented city Councilman Joseph Borelli, a New York State Assembly Citation presented by Assemblyman Sam Pirozzolo, and a United States of America Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition presented by Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis.
