Marine Corps League remembers the fallen with Memorial Day commemorative in Sunnyside

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — To mark Memorial Day, and reflect on the acts of valor and courage demonstrated by the brave members of the U.S. Armed Forces, elected officials, dignitaries, veterans and friends gathered at the Marine Corps League, Sgt. Angel Mendez Detachment, to partake in a formal afternoon observance in Sunnyside.
Included in the roster were Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis and a representative from the office of State Senator Jessica Spanton-Scarcella.
