Officials call on Staten Islanders to help North Carolinians following Hurricane Helene

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Hurricane Helene ravaged parts of North Carolina last week, and Staten Island officials are calling on borough residents to help.

Representatives from Catholic Charities, Con Edison, the Staten Island Economic Development Corporation, the Staten Island Chamber of Commerce, the Notre Dame Club of Staten Island and the offices of Carr (R-Mid-Island/South Brooklyn), Pirozzolo (R-Mid-Island), Fall (D-North Shore/Brooklyn/Lower Manhattan), Councilwoman Kamillah Hanks (D-North Shore) and State Sen. Jessica Scarcella-Spanton (D-North Shore/South Brooklyn) were also in attendance.
