The ‘Preservation League of Staten Island’ honored the borough’s landmarks

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — On Sept. 28, the “Preservation League of Staten Island” hosted an anniversary event for historic preservation on the veranda of historic St. Peter’s Church rectory.

They specifically celebrated the 30th and 20th anniversaries of the NYC Landmark Designation of the St. George-New Brighton HD and the St. Paul’s Avenue-Stapleton Heights HD.

New York State Senator Jessica-Spanton presented Certificates of Recognition to both districts in honor of the anniversaries. Stephen Thomson, Director of Community and Intergovernmental Affairs of the NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission, was also present.
