New funding boost for SMART Recovery services at Ibero-American League

Rochester, N.Y. — More resources are on the way for a local organization that helps people recovering from addiction.
State Sen.Samra Brouk was at the Ibero-American Action LeagueFriday to announce new funding for its SMART Recovery program.
The program is the only one in Rochester that provides peer support in the Spanish language.
"You see this data that there are greater mental health needs in our community and across the country right now," said Brouk. "We need to build capacity to meet that moment."
