2 Staten Island students nominated for U.S. Presidential Scholars Program

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Two Staten Island high school seniors have been nominated for the prestigious U.S. Presidential Scholars Program.

Sen. Jessica Scarcella-Spanton (D-North Shore/South Brooklyn) nominated Husam, sharing that is he is one of the “best and brightest New York has to offer.”

“Husam has excelled not only academically at Ralph R. McKee H.S., he also shines through his dedication to sports and volunteering throughout the Staten Island community,” said Scarcella-Spanton. “I am so proud of his accomplishments, and look forward to seeing what he does next!”
