Sen. Scarcella-Spanton honored as Legislator of the Year by NY Red Cross

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The Richmond County STATEN ISLAND & SOUTHERN BROOKLYN-STATE SEN. JESSICA SCARCELLA-SPANTON has been recognized as Legislator of the Year by the Greater New York Chapter of the American Red Cross.

"I am truly grateful to be recognized by the Greater New York Chapter of the American Red Cross," said Scarcella-Spanton in a press statement. "This past summer, I had the opportunity to work alongside their incredible team to install smoke detectors for families in need throughout my district. Fire safety is a serious concern, and it's so important that we continue to raise awareness and make sure that every New Yorker understands the importance of being prepared."
