Klein Secures Funds To Save Senior Fitness Program

State Senator Jeff Klein (D-Bronx/Westchester) announced today that he has secured state funding for vital fitness programs for senior citizens at eight locations across the 34th Senate District. When informed of the possibility that these programs might end on October 31, 2005, Senator Klein quickly obtained the necessary funding to continue these important programs for another year.
Klein’s funding will ensure classes continue at the following locations in Westchester: Garth Road Senior Center and Lake Isle Nutrition Center in Eastchester, Pelham Seniors Club and Coyne Park Senior Center in Yonkers and these locations in the Bronx:Aging in America-Pelham Parkway, Middletown Road Senior Center, Morris Park Civic Association and the Northeast Bronx Senior Center.
