St. Barnabas Opens Bronx’ Newest Health Unit For Seniors

Scott Cooper, MD, President and CEO of St. Barnabas, said, “Opening up this unit will prepare St. Barnabas to provide the highest level of special care to the increasing number of vulnerable elderly patients we expect to see.  People in this age group, especially in communities like those we serve, have the highest hospital lengths of stay with more chronic illness, fewer family and financial resources and less access to medical care that in other parts of the City.”
