State Senator Malcolm A. Smith (D-Queens) announced today that WWRL 1600 AM, New York’s Urban Talk Station, will be hosting a free seminar entitled "Surviving Retirement." The seminar is designed to cover a wide range of topics regarding health issues, and financial and legal matters pertaining to seniors. This is a valuable seminar for both seniors and their caretakers.

"Preparing for retirement is an important issue for all of New York’s seniors. Understanding all of your options and receiving assistance in deciding which choices are best for you can be a difficult task. This seminar is an important resource for those nearing retirement age," said Senator Smith.

The Queens lawmaker commends WWRL and BNY Mortgage for providing seniors an opportunity to hear from experts and discuss topics such as living wills and trust, lowering their heating bills, and understanding the new Medicare subscription program.
