Senator Bill Larkin (R-C, Cornwall-on-Hudson) today announced he has secured state funding for several area hospitals.
"It is of the utmost importance for our local hospitals, physicians and staff to have the latest medical technology available," said Senator Larkin. "This kind of investment is vital to ensure the very best quality of care for our communities. It is reassuring to know that so many people are working hard every day to make such a significant and long-term impact on those they serve."
Under the State Community Capital Assistance Program (CCAP), Senator Larkin secured a $100,000 grant for St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital. The funding will be used to purchase new anesthesiology equipment for the Newburgh campus operating rooms.
In Ulster County, the Kingston Hospital will receive $100,000 for the purchase of a PACS system for the Radiology Department. This system will convert the hospital from radiographic film to digital images. The system will reduce operating costs and improve image quality and physician access to critical patient data.
Also in Ulster County, Senator Larkin has secured $100,000 for Benedictine Hospital for the purchase of equipment for the hospital’s Endoscopy Unit.
