Mt. Vernon $58,911,487 $2,193,473

Tuckahoe $1,666,956 $35,699

Pelham $4,382,973 $286,740

“We only had one choice: It was to deliver for our kids,” Senator Klein said. “Today is a great day for the people of New York State, especially here in Westchester. Working with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle, we were not only able to restore the Governor's aid cuts but, in many cases, actually secure record school funding increases, which will not only fund critical services, but will also help districts reduce the crushing property tax burden being borne by many Westchester County taxpayers. It’s truly a remarkable victory for the schoolchildren of New York State.”

This funding comes in addition to the historic $87 million state aid package announced earlier this week for the City of Yonkers and the Yonkers School District. The budget legislation, which passed by overwhelming, bi-partisan votes in the Senate and Assembly, heads to the Governor for his signature.
