Bronx, NY—Just days after vandals spray-painted graffiti on the outside of the City Island Little League Building, State Senator Jeff Klein (D-Bronx/Westchester) directed his Graffiti Removal Program to repaint the exterior walls and water fountain at their facility at Ambrosini Field on City Island Avenue.

“Incidents like this are precisely the reason I have created and funded this Graffiti Removal Program for my constituents throughout my 12 years in the Legislature,” Klein said. “Keeping our neighborhoods safe and clean is a full-time effort and I’m proud to have been able to restore this integral part of our City Island community for the countless children who use it each year.”

Bob Whalen, President of the City Island Little League praised Senator Klein’s efforts saying, “Once again Senator Klein has come through for City Island. We were outraged to find our building covered in graffiti, but when we called Senator Klein, his graffiti removal program had the site repainted and good as new in just a matter of days.”

The 34th Senate District Graffiti Removal Program is funded by Senator Klein and removes graffiti free of charge from homes, businesses and community facilities throughout the 34th Senate District. To report graffiti, individuals can call Senator Klein’s graffiti removal hotline at (888) 884-1444.
