BRONX, NY – State Senator Jeff Klein (D-Bronx/Westchester) has secured significant state funding to sponsor a free Home Gardening Program at the New York Botanical Gardens for residents of the 34th Senate District. The programs, taught by renowned faculty and horticulturists from across the region, are made free to constituents through Senator Klein’s state grant.

“We are lucky to have the renowned Botanical Gardens within our district,” said Senator Klein. “Gardening not only along adds to the beauty of our communities but also has been proven to be therapeutic and increase property values. That’s why I worked so hard to obtain the funding to make this program be made available to my Bronx and Westchester constituents free of charge,” Klein added.
