Senator Johnson Supports Efforts To Preserve Long Island's Trees

State Capitol, Albany, New York, March 15, 2006 -- State Senator Owen H. Johnson (4th Senate District, Babylon), Chairman of the Finance Committee, recently attended the Long Island Arboricultural Association’s (LIAA) 34th Annual Long Island Tree Conference, which was held at Roosevelt Hall at Farmingdale State University. The event is the largest one-day conference dedicated to arboriculture in the Long Island Area.
Senator Johnson is a long time supporter of the LIAA, which is a not-for-profit organization devoted to educating the public on issues relating to tree preservation and proper care methods. The organization strives to stimulate interest in the care and protection of trees and shrubs on Long Island.
