Senator Bill Larkin (R-C, Cornwall-on-Hudson) today announced the New York State Thruway Authority has begun work on the Woodbury Mobility Improvement project.
The project will improve operations at the existing Woodbury toll barrier, located in the Town of Woodbury and the Village of Harriman.
Plans include introducing the use of Highway Speed E-ZPass and reconstructing the approaches in this section along I-87.
An informal public open house on this project will be held by the Thruway Authority on Tuesday, May 23, 2006 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the Central Valley Elementary School, located at 45 Route 32, Central Valley, NY.
Additional information can be found on the Authority’s website at www.nysthruway.gov under "Projects and Studies." Click on "Woodbury Mobility Improvement Project."
"I would encourage local residents to attend this public forum," said Senator Larkin. "Feedback from the community is important and will be incorporated into the plans as this project progresses."
