BRONX-Once again Orchard Beach saw an explosion of colors and charisma as Senator Klein and Bronx Borough President Carrionhosted the3rd Annual New York Salutes America Celebration.

Over 5000 people swarmed the beach for an evening of live music, face painting, carnival fun, and a private BBQ reception.

The West Point Color Guarde kicked off the opening ceremonies as the NYC Transit Pipes and Drums, joined by dozens ofBronx veterans, lead the crowd in Amazing Grace. As Alive 'n Kickin' entertained audiences with classics and pop standards alike, children caroused through the crowd while friends and neighbors enjoyed the summer's eve.
