Senator Klein Honors Veterans Over Breakfast

BRONX-Senator Jeff Klein (D-Bronx/Westchester) hosted his 1st Annual Veterans’ Breakfast in honor of the veterans of the 34th Senate District and their outstanding commitment to our country. 280 veterans poured into the Villa Barone Manor toenjoy a complimentary hot breakfast and performance by the P.S. 14 Callandra Choir, as well as a special appearance by the SUNY Maritime color guard.

After making his way through the crowds to shake hands and show his appreciation, the Senator spoke at leangth about the issue of divesting the New York State pension fund from terror sponsoring nations on the US Department of State watch-list: Iran, Syria, North Korea, and Sudan. In addition, Senator Klein presented a proclamation in special tribute to Patrick Devine, Commander of the Theodore Korony Post # 253 in Throggs Neck for his leadership and dedication to the Throggs Neck parade and veterans' issues.

"We owe a debt of gratitude to our veterans which wecan never repay which is why wemust take every opportunity to honor their sacrifice in service to our country," said the Senator.
