Senator Johnson Announces $50,000 Grant For FOCUS

State Senator Owen H. Johnson (4th Senate District, Babylon), Chairman of the Finance Committee recently met with Susan Rothman, Executive Director of FOCUS "For Our Children and Us" in his Babylon office where he handed Ms. Rothman a presentation check for $50,000 which represents a state grant that he secured for the organization as part of the 2007 New York State budget.

FOCUS provides fee paralegal services to men and women in matters of child support, enforcement of court orders for support, alimony/maintenance, and paternity in addition to furnishing information concerning custody, visitation, orders of protection, divorce and separation under the guidance of a panel of volunteer attorneys.

"FOCUS fills an important need in our community by helping families navigate the Family Court System and know their rights and options under the law," said Senator Johnson. "I am extremely pleased to continue to support FOCUS because they’ve made a positive difference in the lives of countless local families."
