State Senator Owen H. Johnson (4th Senate District, Babylon), Chairman of the Finance Committee, was recently joined by Assemblyman Robert Sweeney and Senator Charles Fuschillo in presenting a New York State Legislative Resolution to the Island Drafting and Technical Institute in Amityville. The Institute, which is one of the oldest career colleges on Long Island, recently celebrated 50 years of service to the community.
The Island Drafting and Technical Institute was founded in 1957 by the late Joseph Di Liberto and is now operated under the skilled leadership of his two sons, James and John. The Institute is staffed by faculty members who have had professional and practical experience in Engineering and continues to graduate students who are well-trained and technically qualified to meet the ever-changing demands of the job market and workplace.
