Senator Bill Larkin (R-C, Cornwall-on-Hudson) today announced that legislation he sponsored to authorize the New York State Dormitory Authority to provide financing assistance to the Goshen Public Library and Historical Society has passed the State Senate.

The bill (S.907) adds the Goshen Public Library and Historical Society to the list of eligible public libraries that can receive financial assistance from the New York State Dormitory Authority. Currently, the library is not on this list.

"This change in the law would be a great help to the Goshen Public Library and Historical Society," said Senator Larkin. "It would make low cost financing available to the library through the New York State Dormitory Authority. The library could then go forward with several important capital improvement plans and save taxpayer money at the same time."

The bill was sent to the Assembly.
