Larkin Reassigned As Chairman Of Senate Committee On Racing, Gaming, And Wagering

Senator Bill Larkin (R-C, Cornwall-on-Hudson) has been reassigned to serve as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Racing, Gaming, and Wagering by Senate Majority Leader Joseph Bruno.
As Chairman of this committee, Larkin said that during this legislative session he will continue to focus on reviewing the business and management practices of the horse racing industry in the state. He will also continue to facilitate the discussions regarding video lottery terminals at the state's racetracks as well as help negotiate the future of casinos in New York State.
Senator Larkin was also newly appointed to serve as a member on the Senate Rules and Agriculture Committees. His other committee assignments include Commerce, Economic Development & Small Business; Finance; Health; Insurance; Transportation; and Veterans, Homeland Security & Military Affairs.
