Padavan to Sponsor Spring Senior Health and Info Expo

New York State Senator Frank Padavan (Queens) announced today that he will be hosting two Senior Health and Info Expos at two different locations in the 11th Senate District in the month of May.

The first event will take place Thursday, May 15th from 10 am to 2 pm at the North Flushing Senior Center at College Point, 22-38 College Point Blvd (Knights of Columbus 1463) in College Point. The second event will take place on Friday, May 30th from 10 am to 2 pm at Services Now for Adult Persons (SNAP), 80-45 Winchester Blvd in Queens Village.

Seniors will be able to access free services including testing for blood pressure, glucose, glaucoma, hearing, vision and dental screenings. Area seniors will also be able to access information on health and wellness programs, long-term care, home care, hospice, Medicare Part D and unclaimed funds.

Among the groups and organizations confirmed to take part in Senator Padavan’s Senior Health and Info Expo in College Point on May 15th include: New York Hospital Queens, Flushing Hospital Center, Parker Jewish Institute for Healthcare and Rehabilitation, North-Shore LIJ Health System Senior Navigator, Fire Department of the City of New York, Office of the State Comptroller, Visting Nurse Service, AARP-NY, Metropolitan Transportation Authority, Queens Health Coalition and the League for the Hard of Hearing.
