Padavan Sponsoring Fall Community Health and Wellness Expo

New York State Senator Frank Padavan (Queens) announced today that he will be hosting a Fall Community Health and Wellness Expo for families and seniors throughout Northeast Queens. The event will take place on Sunday, September 28th from 10 am to 2 pm at Mary’s Nativity Parish Center, 46-02 Parsons Blvd, in Flushing.

Throughout the morning and afternoon families and seniors will be able to access free health screenings and information for their health and wellness. Free health services will include testing for blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol, body fat analysis and dental screenings. During the expo, there will be fun events for the entire family including face painting and balloon animals for children.

“This community event is an opportunity for Northeast Queens families and seniors to access free services and the most up-to-date information important to their health and well-being,” Padavan said. “Bring the entire family to Mary’s Nativity Parish Center on Sunday, September 28th for a morning full of health and wellness awareness and fun.”

Among the community partners and health care organizations scheduled to take part in this important community event on September 28th include: New York Hospital Queens,  Flushing Hospital Medical Center, Visiting Nurse Services, Fire Department of New York, Health Corps, Vinas Pediatric Care, Queens County Farm Museum, Metropolitan Transportation Authority, Korea Community Services of Metropolitan New York, New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Lions Eye Bank of Long Island, New York State Consumer Protection Board, Amerigroup Community Care,  Children’s Gym, National Income Life Insurance Company, Child Health Plus, Hospice Care Network and many more.
