On Friday, January 11, in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Senator Jeff Klein hosted Louise Mirrer, President and CEO of the New-York Historical Society, which recently held the much talked about exhibition "New York Divided; Slavery and the Civil War"; Professor David Peritz, Chairman of the Department of Politics at Sarah Lawrence College; and Democratic County Election Commissioner Reginald Lafayette in a scintillating discourse on the history and current state of Civil Rights in the United States.
