“I commend Governor Paterson for his nomination of Robert Wilmers to head the Empire State Development Corporation. He has a long track record of successfully handling million dollar budgets during his tenure in the financial sector. He will bring a wealth of talent, knowledge and experience to this new position.

Economic development is beneficial to all communities and I am fully confident that he will be able to create jobs and expand resources necessary to enhance the state. I look forward to working with him in this capacity. Again, I applaud the Governor for understanding that we are ONE NEW YORK and by appointing a leader such as Bob, we will reap the benefits as one state.”
