Sen. Johnson Honored At Grand Opening Of Breast Cancer Help’s New Offices

State Senator Owen H. Johnson recently attended the grand opening of Breast Cancer HELP Inc.’s newly renovated offices located at the Long Island Cancer Help and Wellness Center at 1555 Sunrise Highway in Bay Shore.  Senator Johnson was among those honored by Breast Cancer HELP at the event for his longstanding support of Breast Cancer HELP and his steadfast support in the fight against breast cancer. At the grand opening, Breast Cancer HELP dedicated their program room in Senator Johnson’s honor.

Breast Cancer HELP, Inc. is a not-for-profit corporation co-founded by breast cancer survivor Lorraine Pace to raise awareness about the disease, promote education, and serve other patients and survivors with social support and wellness programs.  The Long Island Cancer Help and Wellness Center sponsors programs to promote cancer awareness in an effort to increase early detection of cancer.  The Center also supports programs for cancer patients and survivors providing them with the personal care and understanding they need to overcome the challenges that cancer presents.

Senator Johnson is pictured with other elected officials, BC HELP Board Members and staff in “A Personal Touch Boutique,” which is located on the premises of the LI Cancer Help and Wellness Center.  The boutique is designed to provide breast cancer patients with a selection of bras and breast forms that meet their special needs, and offer the personalized attention and the privacy they deserve.
