Senate Confirms Louis Heimbach For Stewart Airport Commission

Senator Bill Larkin (R-C, Cornwall-on-Hudson) announced that Sterling Forest Corporation Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer, Louis Heimbach, has been reappointed by the New York Senate to the Stewart Airport Commission. His term will run until June 20, 2012.

Mr. Heimbach currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Stewart Airport Commission, and is a member of the Urban Land Institute. He also served for 12 years as Orange County Executive and prior to that, he was elected three times as Supervisor of the Town of Wallkill. Mr. Heimbach is also a member of the Executive Committees of Mid-Hudson Pattern For Progress and the New York Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve. He currently serves on the Boards of the Orange County Trust, the Orange County Chamber of Commerce, Horton Memorial Hospital, and the Boy Scouts of America. He is former Chairman of the NYS Association of Counties’ Blue Ribbon Task Force on Physically Handicapped Children.
