Senator Bill Larkin (R-C, Cornwall-on-Hudson) has secured a $25,000 grant for the Washingtonville School District.

The grant will help the district to purchase an electronic fingerprinting system and for a camera and badge printer component for its new electronic entry door swipe system.

"I was pleased to be able to advocate for this important grant for the Washingtonville School District," said Senator Larkin. "The fingerprinting system will assist the district in the more timely clearance of prospective employees and will be used in conjunction with the Washingtonville Police Department. In addition, the more efficient swipe card readers will replace the current photo id system and improve security areas. This grant will ultimately increase the safety and protection of our students."
