2010 Private David Evans, Jr. Courage Scholarship Awards

Buffalo, NY -  Antoine M. Thompson - New York State Senator, 60th District  (D-parts of Erie and Niagara Counties) announced that he will hold his Annual Private David Evans, Jr. Courage Scholarship Awards Program Friday June 11, 2010 at 5PM at the Frank E. Merriweather, Jr. Library, 1324 Jefferson Avenue in the City of Buffalo.

The award honors the life of Private Evans who was an intern for the then Masten District Councilman Thompson. Private Evans died in 2003 while serving his tour of duty in Iraq during “Operation Enduring Freedom” at the early age of 18.
