Buffalo - Buffalo Audubon Society presents special award

Buffalo, NY- Yesterday, May 6, NYS Senator Antoine M. Thompson (D-Parts of Erie & Niagara Counties) and Chair of the Senate Environmental Conservation Committee, was awarded a public service award at the Centennial Meeting and Annual Dinner of the Buffalo Audubon Society.
“I’m honored to receive this award, I have always cared about the environment and I’m glad I can help,” stated Senator Thompson.
The Buffalo Audubon Society was established in 1909 and has provided exemplary service to the communities of Western New York, and New York State for one hundred years. The Society has been an effective voice for the protection of natural wonders and environmental quality in Western New York and provides nature and environmental education to as many as 35,000 children and adults each year through classroom presentations, field trips, workshops and festivals.
“On behalf of our entire membership and the entire Western New York community, thank you again for your dedication to our environment and to ensuring that we have a bright and green future to look forward to,” stated Bill Hudson, Executive Director.
