Buffalo, NY – New York State Senator Antoine M. Thompson (D-Parts of Erie & Niagara Counties) will be holding a focus group for parents, grandparents and legal guardians on Wednesday, July 29, 2009 from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm at the North Buffalo Community Center at 203 Sanders Road in Buffalo.  “When parents are more involved in their child’s education, the children are more likely to do well in school,” said Senator Antoine M. Thompson.  The purpose of this focus group is to inform parents and guardians about assistance provided by schools on different ways to become more involved in your child’s education and learning environment.
