Buffalo, NY- New York State Senator Antoine M. Thompson (D-Parts of Erie & Niagara Counties) and Kensington Bailey Neighborhood Services present the 1st annual Health, Housing and Safety Fair. This event will take place on Saturday, July 25, 2009 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at 995 Kensington Avenue in Buffalo.
“This Health, Housing and Safety Fair is the next stop on the Healthcare Express,” said Senator Thompson. “There are too many children without healthcare in Erie and Niagara Counties and our Healthcare Express will help to reduce that number.”
Participants for this event include; Kensington Bailey Neighborhood Housing Services, Erie County Department of Senior Services, Board of Block Clubs, PUSH Buffalo, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, New York State EPIC Program and the Erie County Sheriff’s Department.
The Erie County Health Department will also be on hand to help Senator Thompson sign uninsured children up for a health insurance program. The Healthcare Express provides several services such as free finger printing for children and free enrollment into State health programs. Our facilitated enrollers are ready to work with you and your situation, even if you cannot locate one or more of the materials listed above, stop by and get started with an application. Our facilitated enrollers are aboard the Healthcare Express to guide and assist you every step of the way. The services provided by the Healthcare Express are free and open to all.
Music will be provided by DJ Alex beginning at 12:00 noon. Bring a friend or two and a chair and enjoy the day.
