Buffalo, NY- New York State Senator Antoine M. Thompson (D-Parts of Erie & Niagara Counties) will be holding a Latino Diabetes Conference on Saturday, November 7, 2009 from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon located at the Niagara Library at 280 Porter Avenue.

“Diabetes is a health concern in every society,” said Senator Thompson. “This conference is a great way to raise awareness in the Hispanic community.”

The keynote speaker for this event is Dr. Juan Carlos Hernandez, M.D. from Buffalo General Hospital.  He will be doing a presentation along with a question and answer session. 

Sponsors for the conference are: NYS Senator Antoine M. Thompson, The Association of Hispanic Pastors, Hispanics United and the American Diabetes Association.
