State Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (8th Senate District) announced that the New York State Senate recently passed a legislative resolution he sponsored honoring Corine Jackman of Massapequa for earning the Girl Scout Gold Award, the highest award in Girl Scouting. Corine is a member of Service Unit Number 19, Suffolk County.

With the Senate passage of the legislative resolution, Corine’s name and achievement will forever be in the history books as part of the New York State Senate’s official record.

“Earning the Girl Scout Gold Award is an exceptional achievement which only a select few young women ever receive. Through hard work, dedication, and commitment to service, Corine has proven herself worthy of this high honor. I was pleased to sponsor this resolution so that Corine’s accomplishments could be recognized by the entire New York State Senate,” said Senator Fuschillo.
