Golden Gathering Senior Health Fair: Friday, October 23rd

        On Friday, October 23rd, I will be hosting my Annual Golden Gathering Senior Health Fair and hope that you can join me for this great event.

        This year, free flu vaccinations, blood pressure and diabetes screenings, and other free health care services will be available.  As in years past, my Golden Gathering will be held between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. in the Rockville Centre Recreation Center located at 111 North Oceanside Road in Rockville Centre.

        At this special event, a   variety of informational materials and demonstrations will be available from nearly 50 federal, state and local government agencies, health care organizations, and other important groups.

        With the assistance of Molloy College's School of Nursing, South Nassau Communities Hospital will be administering free flu vaccinations.  Please note that we unfortunately will not be providing immunization for the H1N1(Swine Flu) strand, however details on where you can obtain more information on receiving an inoculation will be available.
